Ben Vincent, PhD
Ben Vincent is Research Coordinator at the Trans Learning Partnership, and author of the books Transgender Health: A Practitioner's Guide to Binary and Non-Binary Trans Patient Care (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2018) and Non-Binary Genders: Navigating Communities, Identities, and Healthcare (Policy Press, 2020). They are co-editor of the collections Non-Binary Lives: An Anthology of Intersecting Identities (with Jos Twist, Meg-John Barker, and Kat Gupta; Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2020) and TERF Wars: Feminism and the Fight for Transgender Futures (with Ruth Pearce and Sonja Erikainen; SAGE, 2020). They are a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and serve on the committee authoring the 8th edition of the WPATH Standards of Care. Dr. Vincent's work looks at the relationships between identity negotiation and experiences of communities and medical practice, and the depathologization of trans healthcare.
