Jaden M.B. Janak, MA

Jaden M.B. Janak is a PhD Candidate in the African and African Diaspora Studies Department at the University of Texas at Austin. They are the author of “Abolition is Here" in Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies (2020) as well as forthcoming articles in GLQ (April 2022) and Behemoth: A Journal on Civilisation (2022). Jaden’s research focuses on transgender prisoner rights, 20th and 21st century abolitionist world making, and transnational coalition building. He is a member of numerous local and national abolitionist organizing collectives.
