Mikee Inton-Campbell, PhD
Mikee Inton-Campbell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at California State University San Marcos where she teaches trans and queer of color studies. Her work centers on trans representation in Philippine and Asian film and media, and she currently serves on the board of the Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Society. As an activist, she has extensive experience advocating on trans issues in global spaces, and has served on the board of the ILGA World, as well as on the grant making panel of the International Trans Fund. She is also a board member of the Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP), the country’s first and longest-running trans-centered organization. Along with Dr. Brenda Alegre of the University of Hong Kong and Dr. Jaya Jacobo of Coventry University, Dr. Inton-Campbell is co-editor of the TransPilipinas Anthology, an up-coming collection of fiction, poetry, prose, and art for and by trans and gender-diverse Filipinos.
