Kat Gupta, PhD
Kat Gupta is a lecturer in political communication at Royal Holloway, University of London. They are the author of Representation of the British Suffrage Movement (Bloomsbury, 2016) and co-editor of The Emergence of Trans: Cultures, Politics and Everyday Lives (with Ruth Pearce, Igi Moon, and Deborah Lynn Steinberg: Routledge, 2019). Their current research is on online erotica and how language is used to articulate and negotiate issues of gender, sexuality, and power. Dr. Gupta has performed their creative writing as part of CN Lester's Transpose series, and both contributed to and co-edited Non-Binary Lives: An Anthology of Intersecting Identities (with Jos Twist, Ben Vincent, and MJ Barker: Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2020), a Lambda Literary Award finalist.
