Kale B. Fajardo is an Associate Professor of Asian American Studies and American Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is the author of Filipino Crosscurrents: Oceanographies of Seafaring, Masculinities and Globalization (University of Minnesota Press, 2011; reprinted by University of the Philippines Press, 2013) and co-editor of Q&A: Voices from Queer Asian North America (with Martin F. Manalansan IV and Alice Y. Hom; Temple University Press, 2021). He is currently working on his second book entitled, Another Archipelago: Migrant Masculinities, Photography and Place from St. Malo to Portland. Dr. Fajardo serves on the advisory board of Critical Ethnic Studies and the international advisory board of Lambda Nordica, and is a co-editor of the Island Studies Journal, managing submissions related to culture, art, and anthropology.
